The International Criminal Court is set to start Joseph Kony’s trial this year. An arrest warrant was issued 20 years ago but the alleged leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army remains at large. Joseph Kony is accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity, allegedly committed between 2002 and 2005 in northern Uganda. Known for its brutal tactics, the rebel group LRA forced its young recruits to massacre civilians. Years after their return, thousands of former child soldiers are still struggling to reintegrate into society, as FRANCE 24’s Clement di Roma reports.
