Between 275,000 and 325,000 protesters gathered in Serbia’s capital, Belgrade, on March 15 in what was likely the largest in a series of anti-corruption demonstrations that have shaken the Balkan country in recent months.The movement emerged after 15 people were killed when a railway station roof collapsed in Novi Sad in November, fueling long-standing anger over alleged corruption and lax oversight in construction projects.
