With the public demo of Anthropic’s “computer use” feature for its Claude chatbot, this was the week that AI “agents” – which can carry out many tasks rather than just answer questions – became viable. FRANCE 24’s Tech Editor Peter O’Brien tells us more.
Once installed, Claude 3.5 Sonnet can carry out any request that can be done on your computer. Complicated tasks are costly and slow, and the bot does make mistakes. However, it shows what the technology could do in the future, as long as improvements continue to be made to the computing power and efficiency needed to run such software.
Microsoft also announced its own AI agents for business clients, and the ability to design your own in Copilot Studio. How does it work and what does it mean for productivity, privacy and security? Find out on Tech 24.
