US Tiktok users flock to Chinese social media app RedNote

The US talks on banning the Chinese-owned Tiktok app from the App Store have triggered a digital migration of US users to an alternative platform, the Chinese social media app RedNote to continue their businesses and content making. And they have been warmly welcomed by bemused Chinese netizens, curious to interact with these foreigners incoming under the hashtag of #TiktokRefugee. RedNote has been the most downloaded app on the US App store since Tuesday as some 700,000 Americans have registered. FRANCE 24’s journalist Liza Kaminov has more.
