17-year-old Axel Rudakubana was sentenced to at least 52 years on Thursday for fatally stabbing three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed event in a town north of Liverpool, in England. The sentence is the longest ever given in the UK to a teenager. Rudakubana had expressed no remorse for his actions, instead saying in a police interview that he was “happy” the three victims had been killed, and was proven to have had interest in terrorist activities.
