Former Bolivian president Evo Morales said gunmen tried to kill him Sunday in a hail of bullets. “Morales was driving to his radio interview when this alledged attack happened”, said Ioan Grillo, journalist and writer covering Latin American. “He put the video out in a very strong statement saying it was a group of gunmen in black; they saw them go into a local military headquarters; he is blaming the government.”
