Thousands of people are still without water and electricity in Spain, after the torrential lashed the eastern regions this week, causing the most powerful flash floods in recent memory. Scientists have consistently warned that under climate change we will see more extreme weather events such as floods, yet Spain’s national weather service appears have to have been ill-equipped.
