Vote counting was underway Saturday in Ireland’s national election after an exit poll suggested the contest is a close-fought race among the country’s three largest political parties. “According to the exit polls, Sinn Fein, on the nationalist left, has won the popular vote for the second time in a row in elections in Ireland,” FRANCE 24’s Hervé Amoric said, reporting from Dublin. But with the two other larger parties that formed the governing coalition – Fianna Fail and Fine Gael  on its heels, Sinn Fein is likely to end up with “not enough seats in the door to be able to form a government”, Amoric said.
